Day in the Life of a Three Year Old

8:45 a.m. Jia arrives at the school in the car line. Her teacher opens the car door and greets her with a smile and a handshake. She walks to her classroom to begin her school day.

Jia is building a large Halloween floor puzzle. She is interacting with Ben. Together they must cooperate to complete their work. Jia is developing her eye hand coordination and building her problem solving skills.

Jia is developing her hand by stringing fun Halloween shapes. She is learning to complete a work cycle and complete a process. Jia is developing eye hand coordination, finger skills and building concentration.

Jia is stamping fun Halloween shapes. She is creatively arranging them on her paper. Jia is learning to follow a work cycle from start to finish. She is strengthening her hand muscles in preparation of more intricate activities like tweezing, cutting, sewing and writing.

Jia is working with a puzzle. She is manipulating each part of a frog. She will gradually learn the names of each of these parts. Jia is increasing her concentration and focus by completing a work cycle. She is becoming independent through her work. Beside Jia is a booklet that names and gives some facts about each part of the frog.

Today is Specials Day, so Jia will have a chance to participate in Spanish, Physical Education and Music classes during her session.

11:45 a.m. Jia joins the group for Early Learning at the classroom door and says goodbye to her teacher with a smile and a handshake.
